approved gene symbol METRN. In databanks, the gene encoding this protein is known also as C16orf23 or RJD6 and glial cell differentiation regulator. Following the identification of Meteorin-like, the designation Meteorin-alpha has been suggested for Meteorin (Bridgewood C et al, 2019).
