Mammaglobin
The approved gene symbol is SCGB2A2 [Secretoglobin 2A2; secretoglobin family 2A member 2]. This protein has been renamed Mammaglobin-1 (abbr. MGB1), following the identification of Mammaglobin B (Mammaglobin-2). It is being referred to also as Mammaglobin A (abbr. sometimes MGBA, Mam-A).
The full-length cDNA clone of Mammaglobin has been isolated by Watson et al (1996). The human gene maps to chromosome 11q12.3-q13.1.
