MAR-1

[Mouse-activating receptor 1] This murine protein is the murine homolog of the human NK-cell receptor NKp46. Similar to human NKp46, MAR-1 is expressed selectively by NK-cells and acts as a triggering receptor involved in the induction of natural cytotoxicity.

The MAR-1 protein displays 58 % identity with human NKp46 receptor. In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD335.
