Ladsin

[large adhesive scatter factor] This factor has been isolated from cell conditioned medium of the human gastric carcinoma cell line STKM-1. It is a large protein unrelated to scatter factor, consisting of disulfide-linked subunits of 140, 150, and 160 kDa. The factor binds to heparin (see also: HBGF). Mizushima et al (1996) have reported that ladsin is identical with one of the laminins, laminin-5 (Laminin-332 [Laminin-alpha-3 beta-3 gamma-2]), kalinin, epiligrin, nicein), which are adhesion molecules with a ubiquitous distribution in basement membranes (see also: extracellular matrix ... ... ... ...
