[lymphocytic secreted long form of C-type lectin] This protein is found in the conditioned medium of HIV1-infected T-cells fused with embryonic fibroblasts (Bannwarth et al, 1998, 1999). LSLCL transcripts are expressed strongly in T-cells and B-lymphoblastoid cells. Weak expression is seen in monocytoid cell lines. Fibroblasts do not produce the factor. Strong expression is observed in bone marrow. All other tissues show weak expression.
LSLCL is identical with SCGF (stem cell growth factor). As a member of a family of C-type lectins, the protein has been termed CLEC11A [
