LSF
[leukemogenic stromal factor] LSF activity, originally believed to be M-CSF or a protein antigenically related to M-CSF, is expressed by the murine bone marrow stromal cell line D2XRII (see also: BMC; bone marrow culture).
Cocultivation of gamma-irradiated D2XRII cells with the hematopoietic progenitor cell line FDCP1 JL26, which requires IL3 and GM-CSF for growth (see also: Factor-dependent cell lines), results in the emergence of factor-independent hematopoietic cell sublines.
