[leukocyte-derived neutrophil chemotactic factor] LDNCF activity was observed to be produced by leukocytes collected from the pouch fluid 4 hours after the antigen challenge in an air pouch-type allergic inflammation model in rats. Two factors, designated LDNCF-1 [Leukocyte-derived neutrophil chemotactic factor-1] and LDNCF-2 [Leukocyte-derived neutrophil chemotactic factor-2] were observed, with LDNCF-2 accounting for more than 75 % of the total chemotactic activity in the conditioned medium. Both factors are chemotactic for neutrophils.
