[lymphocyte-derived eosinophil chemotactic factors] These biochemically uncharacterized factors of approximately 45-60 kDa were isolated from human T-lymphocytes expressing the CD4 antigen.
LDECF-PD (pI 7-8) is derived from patients with parasite disease. Its production depends on antigen or mitogen stimulation.
LDECF-HES (pI 6) is derived from patients with hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES). Its synthesis does not require stimulation of cells.
