[Killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor 3DL1] This human inhibitory NK-cell receptor for MHC class I molecules is a type I transmembrane protein (444 amino acids). The cDNA has been cloned by Colonna and Samaridis (1995), who called it NKAT3. The protein has been identified independently by D'Andrea et al (1995), who called it NKB1, Wagtmann et al (1995), who called it CL11 [clone 11], and Pende et al (1996), who called it AMB11, Welch et al (2003), who call it KIRL1 [KIR-like-1].
