[Junctional adhesion molecule 3] JAM3, called also JAM-C [Junctional adhesion molecule C], is related to JAM1 (Arrate et al, 2001). Santoso et al (2002) have cloned the gene and shown that it the protein is identical to the Gi11 antigen on platelets. The authors have reported JAM3 expression on platelets and megakaryocytic cell lines, but not on other blood cells.
