IL1H1

[IL1 homolog-1] The gene encoding this protein has been identified in an expressed sequence tag data base. The same gene has been described by other authors as FIL1-epsilon, IL1RP2. The approved gene symbol is IL1F9 [Interleukin-1 family member 9].

The encoded protein of 169 amino acids does not contain a hydrophobic signal sequence. IL1H1 has no propeptide sequence and encodes only the mature protein (Kumar et al, 2000). IL1H1 has a three-dimensional structure that is similar to that of IL1ra.
