IFNAR1

This is the approved gene symbol for the alpha subunit of the IFN-alpha receptor (for the other subunit see also: IFNAR2). The subunit is being referred to also as IFN-alpha/beta receptor 1. The approved name is interferon (alpha, beta and omega) receptor 1. Another designation is IFN-alphaR1. Older designations are IFRC and IFNAR. The receptor complex binds Type 1 interferons, including many IFN-alpha subtypes, IFN-beta, IFN-omega, IFN-epsilon, IFN-kappa, and others (IFN-tau) in some species ... ... ... ... ...
