[human platelet antigen-3] In the nomenclature for platelet antigens (Metcalfe et al, 2003) this is the designation for the platelet glycoprotein GPIIb. In the nomenclature of CD antigens the proteins has been given the designation CD41. HPA-3a [human platelet antigen-3a] (see: Bak(a), Lek(a)) and HPA-3b [human platelet antigen-3b] (see: Bak(b)) are alleles of the same protein.
