[human neutrophil antigen 1] The HNA1 antigen comprises three antigens, HNA1a, HNA1b, HNA1c (Bux et al, 1999) which are expressed only by neutrophils (all segmented neutrophils, approximately 50 % of neutrophilic metamyelocytes, 10 % neutrophilic myelocytes). These antigens are located on CD16, the low affinity Fc-gamma receptor (Huizinga et al, 1990; Ory et al, 1989; Ravetch and Perussia, 1989; Trounstine et al, 1990)
