[human interleukin for Da cells] This factor of 41 kDa was isolated originally from several clones of T-lymphocytes obtained from rejected human kidney allografts and maintained for several months in antigen-supplemented cultures containing IL2.
HILDA is secreted also by 5637 cells and some other human tumor cell lines. This factor is a mitogen for murine Da cells and a strong chemoattractant for eosinophils (see also: Chemotaxis). It also activates murine and human eosinophils
