FGF
[FGFs]
[Fibroblast growth factors] FGF constitutes a family of related 16-18 kDa proteins controlling normal growth and differentiation of mesenchymal, epithelial, and neuroectodermal cell types during development (Böttcher and Niehrs, 2005). Homologous proteins have been found in a variety of species (Ito, 2007). For examples of FGF mimetic peptides see: canofins, dekafins, hexafins.
