The cDNA encoding mature Evasin-1 (94 amino acids) has been cloned from the blood-feeding parasitic common brown dog tick, Rhipicephalus sanguineus (Frauenschuh et al, 2007). Evasin-1 selectively binds the CC-Chemokines, CCL3, CCL4, and CCL18 (Frauenschuh et al, 2007), and also CCL3L1 (LD78-beta) (Déruaz M et al, 2008).
In a murine Th1 sensitization model, recruitment of neutrophils into the pleural cavity is impaired significantly. Inhibition of CD3(+) lymphocytes is observed also. CD11b(+) monocyte recruitment is not affected. In a Th2
