DVS27

This is the name given to a cDNA clone identified by Onda et al (1999). DVS27 represents a gene upregulated in vasospastic cerebral arteries after subarachnoid hemorrhage. The cDNA is upregulated also in endothelial cells from liver cancer (Zhong et al, 2004). Sequence analysis shows that the cDNA encodes IL33 (Schmitz et al, 2005).
