This is the designation given by Dumoutier et al (2001) to a cDNA encoding IL22BP. CRF2X binds IL22 and specifically blocks STAT3 activation induced by IL22 in an intestinal epithelial cell line. The approved gene symbol for this protein is IL22RA2 [interleukin-22 receptor-alpha-2; IL22R-alpha-2]
