CLMF

[Cytotoxic lymphocyte maturation factor] This factor is isolated from a B-lymphoblastoid cell line following their stimulation with Phorbol esters and Calcium ionophore. The factor stimulates the proliferation of human phytohemagglutinin-activated lymphoblasts and acts in synergy with suboptimal doses of IL2. The factor has been renamed IL12.

The two subunits of IL12 are known also as CLMF1 (CLMF p35; IL12A; 35 kDa subunit) and CLMF2 (CLMF p40, IL12B; 40 kDa subunit)
