CLAP
[CARD-like apoptotic protein] This protein is the cellular homolog, termed also c-CARMEN ('c' for cellular), of the equine herpesvirus-2 protein E10. Both proteins contain CARD domains (Srinivasula et al, 1999). The cellular homolog has been identified independently as CARMEN (CARD containing molecule enhancing NF-kB mRNA) (Thome et al, 1999), BCL10, and CIPER.
