This is, in the nomenclature of CD antigens, the designation for LAIR1 [leukocyte-associated Ig-like receptor 1].
The antigen is recognized on NK-cells by monoclonal antibody 9.1C3, which was raised against an NK-cell antigen described as inducing increased colony formation in in vitro assays of human bone marrow cells (Ouyang et al, 2003).
