BNIP3h

[BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19 kDa protein interacting protein-3h] the gene encoding this protein has been cloned by Farooq M et al (2001). Sequence analysis shows that it is a homolog of the pro-apoptotic protein NIX [Nip3-like protein X]. BNIP3h has been shown to induce cell death by apoptosis after transfection into the breast cancer cell line MCF7. See also: Adenovirus E1B 19 kDa protein.
