Artemin
abbr. ART. Approved gene symbol: ARTN. Artemin is a distant member of the TGF-beta family. The factor is identical with Neublastin and Enovin.
Artemin has been identified as a member of the GDNF family of cytokines referred to also as the GDNF family ligands (the other members being Neurturin, Persephin, and GDNF). The GDNF-like growth factors belong structurally to the Cystine knot growth factor family.
