[autocrine motility factor receptor] The cDNAs encoding the mouse and human receptor for AMF [autocrine motility factor], an extracellular cytokine that is identical with the glycolytic enzyme phosphoglucose isomerase (PGI), have been cloned by Shimizu et al (1999). Both deduced proteins contain 643 amino acids and share 94.7 % amino acid identity. Watanabe et al (1991) have cloned the gene encoding the receptor, which is the same as gp78 [glycoprotein 78].
