[Ala-Glu-Val-Asp] In its modified form as Boc-AEVD-CHO (t-butoxycarbonyl-AEVD-CHO) or the N-benzyloxycarbonyl-AEVD-methyl-fluoromethylketone derivative zAEVD-fmk, this tetrapeptide is used as a caspase-10 inhibitor but also inhibits other group 3 caspases such as caspase-6, caspase-8, and caspase-9 (Garcia-Calvo M et al, 1998).
