An immortalized myeloblast-like cell line originally derived from long-term cultures of murine bone marrow (see also: BMC) supplemented with WEHI-3B conditioned medium. The most frequently employed subline is 32D clone 3 (32D cl3).
32D cells are characterized by a lack of extracellular matrix components and they can be propagated in suspension (see also: Cell culture). Cells can be kept indefinitely as undifferentiated cells as long as they are stimulated by IL3.
