Thyrostimulin is a glycoprotein hormone described by Nakabayashi et al (2002). It consists of two non-covalently linked subunits termed GPHA2 [glycoprotein hormone alpha 2; abbr. also GPA2] (Thyrostimulin-alpha; thyrostimulin A2; also: glycoprotein-alpha-2), and GPHB5 [glycoprotein hormone beta 5; abbr. also: GPB5] (Thyrostimulin-beta; thyrostimulin B5; also: glycoprotein-beta-5) (Hsu et al, 2002).
