[p75 neurotrophin receptor] called also p75LNGFR or LNGFR [p75 low affinity NGF receptor]. The approved gene symbol is NGFR. Another designation is P75NGFR. A systematic designation based on sequence relationships with other receptors is TNFRSF16 [TNF receptor superfamily member 16]. In the nomenclature of CD antigens the receptor has received the designation CD271.
