lymphoguanylin

This peptide of 15 amino acids from Oppossum (QEECELCINMACTGY) is related to Guanylin (40 % identity) and Uroguanylin (80 % identity): opossum uroguanylin (QEDCELCINVACTGC), and opossum guanylin (SHTCEICAYAACAGC). The cDNA of the preproprotein (109 amino acids) has been isolated from opossum spleen and other lymphoid tissues (Forte et al, 1999) and is approximately 93 % identical to the corresponding sequence for preproguanylin (Fan et al, 1996).
