KillerFLIP is a small peptide, READFFWSLCTADMS, that, when introduced into cells shows a remarkably potent cytoxicity in a variety of cancer cell lines (leukemia, prostate and colon cancer), whereas sparing normal cells (normal epithelial cells and endothelial cells. killerFLIP also prevents tumor growth as single agent in an established HCT116 human colon tumor xenograft model (Pennarun et al, 2013). Pancreatic and breast cancer cells in particular have been shown to be resistant to killerFLIP-E.
