[dickkopf-related protein 3] (from German dick =thick; Kopf = head) abbr. dkk-3. Also: dickkopf-related protein 3 or dickkopf homolog 3. The cDNA encoding dickkopf-3 (350 amino acids) has been identified by Krupnik et al (1999). isolated a cDNA encoding dickkopf-3. The protein is related to the other members of the dickkopf family (dickkopf-1, dickkopf-2, dickkopf-4). The protein contains two distinct cysteine-rich domains in which the positions of 10 cysteine residues are highly conserved between members of the dickkopf family (Krupnik et al, 1999).
