beta-lactoglobulin(102-105)

Also: lactoglobulin-beta(102-105). This short peptide (Tyr-Leu-Leu-Phe; YLLF) is derived from bovine beta-lactoglobulin by proteolytic digestion. It has been shown to act as an inhibitor of angiotensin-1 converting enzyme (CD143) (Mullally et al, 1996, 1997) and is known also as Beta-lactorphin. The peptide has been shown to improve vascular relaxation in adult spontaneously hypertensive rats (Sipola et al, 2002).

Jacquot et al (2010) have reported that the synthetic peptide also stimulates proliferation of murine splenocytes, demonstrating a potential influence on immune responses. See also ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
