[XC chemokine receptor-1] This receptor has been cloned by Yoshida et al (1998) who also proposed the name. The receptor is identical with GPR5 [G-protein-coupled receptor-5] and has been shown to bind the chemokine SCM-1 (lymphotactin) (thus also being referred to as lymphotactin receptor). Shan et al (2000) have shown that viral MIP-2 (vCCL2 [viral CCL2]) encoded by KSHV binds to XCR1.
