This bioactive peptide corresponds to CETPI(474-491) [Cholesteryl ester transfer protein isoform (474-491)], derived from the C-terminus of the Lipid transfer protein I (CETP [Cholesteryl ester transfer protein]) isoform CETPI that lacks exon 16, and 54 bases contained in intron 15 and is expressed specifically in enterocytes (Alonso et al, 2003).
