Urodilatin

abbr. URO. A peptide (TAPRSLRRSSCFGGRMDRIGAQSGLGCNSFRY) isolated from human urine and produced in the kidney (Schulz-Knappe et al, 1988). It is identical in sequence to ANF (atrial natriuretic factor; atrial natriuretic peptide) but contains an N-terminal tetrapeptide extension [ANP[95-126]. It is being referred also as Thr-Ala-Pro-Arg-Atrial Natriuretic Peptide [TAPR-ANP; TAPR-Atrial Natriuretic Peptide]
