UT-7

A cell line established from the bone marrow of a patient with acute megakaryoblastic leukemia. The cells express GPIIb/IIIa (CD41a), GPIb (CD42b), MY7 (CD13), MY9 (CD33), glycophorin A and PPO (platelet peroxidase activity) (Komatsu et al, 1991). Cytogenetic analysis shows a human male near-tetraploid karyotype with a modal chromosome number of 92-96.
