Transcribed ultraconserved regions (also: UCR-encoded transcripts (abbr. ucRNAs) constitute a particular class of long non-coding RNAs located mostly in both intragenic and intergenic regions but are found also in exons. They are genomic segments of more than 200 base pairs in length that show exact conservation in human, rat and mouse genomes.
