Scolopendrasin III

Solopendrasin III , VIYVHCTSSRGNNVRLLCAKSKVAPamide, is a peptide from the centipede Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans. The peptide has been shown to strongly stimulate neutrophil chemotaxis and acts through the formyl peptide receptor FPR1. The peptide also stimulates neutrophil migration in vivo, and this effect is blocked in knock-out mice lacking expression of FPR1 (Park et al, 2016).
