STIF

[stimulated rat T-cell derived inhibitory factor for cellular DNA] This biochemically uncharacterized unglycosylated factor of approximately 45-50 kDa is found in conditioned medium of SD rat suppressor T-cells stimulated by concanavalin A.

STIF is not identical with IL2 or IFN-gamma. It inhibits the DNA synthesis of mouse bone marrow and leukemia cells.
