[receptor dog cDNA 1] The cDNA for this receptor has been identified originally in a canine thyroid cDNA library (Libert et al, 1990). The murine receptor (362 amino acids) has characteristics of other receptors for chemokines. Human and dog sequences display approximately 90 % sequence similarity. The human gene has been described as CMKOR1 [chemokine orphan receptor 1]. The receptor is known also as GPR159 [G-protein-coupled receptor-159].
