(approved gene symbol) [pyroglutamylated RFamide peptide; pyroglutamylated arginine-phenylalanineamide peptide] QRFP is a pyroglutamylated RFamide neuropeptide of 43 amino acids (QDEGSEATGFLPAAGEKTSGPLGNLAEELNGYSRKKGGFSFRFamide) identified by Fukusumi et al (2003) who demonstrated high expression in the hypothalamus. It is being referred to also as QRFP43 or 43RFa [43RFamide].
