[PG cell]
[periglomerular cells] Also: periglomerular neurons. PG cells are one of several morphologically and functionally distinct neurons found in the glomeruli of the olfactory bulb (see also: JG cells). They constitute the largest subpopulation exhibiting short dendrites that are generally thought to ramify in a single glomerulus (Pinching and Powell, 1971, 1971; Kiyokage et al, 2010).
