The mouse monoclonal antibody of this name (MRC OX22) labels rat T-cells which mediate graft-versus-host reactions and those responsible for the suppression of antibody synthesis in hosts undergoing these reactions. OX22 also labels all B-cells, 50 % of bone marrow cells, but only 2 % of thymocytes. Biochemical studies show that OX22 reacts with the high molecular weight form of LCA [leukocyte common antigen] (Spickett et al, 1983). In the nomenclature of CD antigens this form has been given the designation CD45RC
