[Neuropeptide-like precursor 2] also: Neuropeptide-like 2 (TKAQGDFNEF) This Drosophila melanogaster gene (CG11051) encodes a neuropeptide of unknown function, termed NEF peptide (Baggerman et al, 2002). The precursor protein, a functionally uncharacterized, secreted peptide of 86 amino acids, is processed into several smaller neuropeptides that may act as neurohormones (Yew et al, 2009).
