Neuropilin-2
Neuropilin-2 (abbr. NPN-2, NP-2; approved gene symbol: NRP2) is a protein related to Neuropilin-1. Expression of its mRNA by developing neurons mostly does not overlap with that of neuropilin-1. Interactions between different semaphorins and their receptors, Neuropilin-1 and Neuropilin-2 appear to play a critical role in the initial patterning of projections by cortical neurons.
Neuropilin-2 shows high affinity binding only to Semaphorin E and Semaphorin 4, but not to Semaphorin 3 according to one report (Chen et al, 1997) and binding to Semaphorin 3
