[lymphocyte-derived neutrophil-activating peptide] This factor is produced by lymphocytes. It activates neutrophils. It is identical with IL8 and therefore belongs to the family of chemotactic cytokines known as Chemokines (Gregory et al, 1988). The new designation is CXCL8 and the factor is known also as SCYB8.
