LT-1
This cell line was obtained by transfection of plasmid pLT.IL4 carrying the entire coding region of the murine IL4 gene including neighboring sequences into the cell line J558L, which is a heavy chain loss variant of the Balb/c plasmacytoma J558.
The conditioned medium of one million LT-1 cells contains approximately 50.000 units of IL4 after 48 hours of culture in vitro and is used as a crude source of murine IL4.
