[low molecular weight B-cell growth factor] This activity is isolated from T-cells after cell activation. It is referred to also as BCGF-L or L-BCGF and also as BCGF-12KD.
Most of the activities described as LMW-BCGF are biochemically uncharacterized factors that act as B-cell growth factors (see also: BCGF for some problems of nomenclature, and JR-2-82).
