LMIR2
[leukocyte mono-Ig-like receptor 2] This receptor has been described by Kumagai et al (2003). The receptor is expressed in bone marrow-derived mast cells.
Shibuya et al (2009) have stated that LMIR2 corresponds to MAIR-II, CLM4 [CMRF35-like molecule-4], and DIgR1.
LMIR2 is a type 1 transmembrane protein expressed in mast cells and leukocytes. LMIR2 contains a short cytoplasmic tail and an immunoregulatory ITAM motif on the extracellular side. The receptor cooperates with LMIR1 and regulates inflammatory responses mediated by mast cells.
